My Garden... in progress

DH and I decided that this was the year to have a garden. So I have been plotting. :D

I used growveg.com to plot what I want in my garden and how I want to set it up. The list of items I plan on planting feels like it is a mile long. I am in love at least with the planning phase of this project. As I progress in this I also am planning on building raised beds and planting some dwarf trees.

We started composting this winter. Our city is kind enough to give out free compost bins, so I didn't have to figure out how to build one. I got a free one. I will with this post start a weekly series, where I will show you guys my garden in progress it will with time also include pictures of the before during and after. Also the harvest and what we plan on doing for next year.

Who else is gardening with me this year?

Ash Wednesday

The lenten time is upon us once more. I have decided to give up processed sugars and also negativity. Meaning that I want to try and be more positive in my life. I want to be able to go into my thoughts and find very little to no negativity. This is lil' man's second lent, but I don't think he is ready to give anything up yet. :D

He is as always being a rambunctios and as he is now almost 17 months, you can only imagine how active he is. Joey also talks a little and has some words both in German and in English.

You all have a great day.

Oups....

SO it has been waaaay too long since I have posted, and I will try to keep up better this year.

Little man is now almost 17 months.

My business is booming, and people tell me that I should write more because it is supposed to be relaxing and should help put things in perspective.

So as a first post in 2013, I will share with you how I clean my laundry. :D

Now you may wonder why my laundry cleaning will benefit you, well quite frankly, it is because I make my own laundry detergent. This is the website here called the familyhomestead, where I get my recipe from.
I make a liquid laundry detergent, and it cleans all our clothes and towels etc. I also add vinegar to the machine in a downy ball and it makes my clothes nice and soft.

Talk to you guys soon.

Rough week

This has been a busy week filled with work, doctors and other such adventures. After having little man my initial plan was not to go to work at all just stay at home and spend my day with my sweet little guy. But then one night I got a phone call asking if I could substitute at the local highschool on post (I sort of forgot I was still signed up). I decided: "why not, an occasional day here or there couldn't hurt." I have been subbing two to three days a week ever since and J. has been hanging out with either his Oma and Opa, my friend G, or his godmother A. I am still terrified of daycare.  But this week he has been in rare form.

On Monday he was an angel for his Opa on Tuesday an Angel for A. but at night he has not been sleeping well at all, wakes up again every 2 if i am lucky 3 hours. Wednesday we had to go to Nashville and he was fussy 3/4 of the way home. Thursday and Friday the fuss continued.  We just couldn't figure out why he was so fussy. Turns out his top two teeth are bugging him. His gums are swollen. But that's not all. This week was just too busy for him. So today is a dedicated baby stay at home day. We are going to play and hang out. :D

Because in the end who can resist this smile?

Have a wonderful Sunday.

Boobs, it is all about the boob!!!

I have had a request or at least an interest in boob hats for a while. So I decided to finally make some and made one for my little man (on the left) and one for baby M. (on the right) my friends son who is about 6 weeks younger than J.

These hats have already been a hit with friends and family and I hope to have them become a hit with you, my readers.  For more images of finished projects and other things I make and sell check out my facebook. It shows you things I have made and also gives you the ability to send me ideas of items you might want.

I hope you all have a great weekend and enjoyed the view of the boob. :D
